Time to review another beer. This time I've got the Magic Hat #9. Pours a medium copper tone with roughly a half inch worth of light white head. On the nose I get a bit of a roasted malt, mixed with a bit of, dare I say, raspberry? As for lacing, well there, really is not any to speak of. On the drink I get a clean light carbonated bite, followed with a bit of dryness that spreads across your tongue, which seems to carry that raspberry flavor with it. A subtle bit of linger, but not too much. Overall this is a pretty good brew. I think a beer like this would go really well with a well prepared piece of grilled fish. Do yourself a favor, and pick it up the next time you're in the store.

It's beer thirty, and this beer thirty I'm having the Squatters IPA. It pours out a nice golden color with a small amount of head. The head does dissipate pretty quickly, but the lacing sticks to the side of the glass like spiderman to a building. The nose has a nice light grapefruit nose, as I would have expected with only 55 IBU. The carbonation on this beer is really light , and rather refreshing. As for the taste I get a slight citrus hit right up front, followed by a nice mild finish, and a lingering grapefruit afterstate. Overall it's pretty decent IPA in my opinion. While it's not a powerhouse like I typically enjoy, it's a great sessionable beer. This would also be a great beer to use in turning your non IPA drinking friends into IPA drinkers. This would pair well with a nice steak. If you're looking for something to try, then pick up the Squatters IPA.

Poured out of a 16 oz can into a wedding pint glass with about an inch of head.
The nose really shines on this one with a blast of pungent tropical fruit from the Galaxy hops.
On first sip I get a bit of citrusy hop character with a just a subtle touch of sweetness and a nice smooth slightly fruity finish.
The mouthfeel is pleasantly thin making this brew incredibly drinkable.
Overall, this is a superbly drinkable pale ale. It's somewhat similar to Odell's St. Lupulin, but a bit smoother in terms of bitterness. This brew paired with Tallgrass' Halcyon wheat is a serious 1-2 punch for midwestern summer beer supremacy.
